Charadestar was fast asleep in his den. His flank was steadily rising and falling in a rhythmic pattern. Occasionally, he kicked his feet or acted as if he were running. Birds chirping interrupted his dreams. He tried to keep sleeping, but those persistent birds wouldn't shut up. Finally opening his eyes, Charadestar walked out of his den and shook his pelt. "Stupid birds..." he muttered, as grabbed a mouse from the Fresh-kill island and made his way back into his den to eat.

Bloodpaw ran into Charadestar's den. She noticed that her mentor was fast asleep. He was muttering something in his sleep.
'Before life returns to normal, the raven will set flight and quench the fire in the waters...'
"Charadestar?"
The leader jolted awake and blinked at his apprentice. "Ah... Bloodpaw... Was I... asleep?"
"Yes."
"Ah. I see... Well, shall we go to training?"
"Of course..."
The two of them walked out of the leader's den and out of the camp, heading toward the Lizardrocks.
